Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Wakarusa Library was officially organized in 1990. The group is a non-profit citizen group, which assists the library by raising money to provide items and services that the library budget does not cover. The group also advocates for the important role of the library in our community.
The Friends of the Wakarusa Library holds its annual Book Sale during the 2nd weekend in August, Thursday-Saturday. Thursday evening is a pre-sale available for individuals who have paid membership dues to join. Friday-Saturday are open to the general public. The group gladly accepts gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books a month before the sale.
